Cambodia Ox-cart Ride
The Ox-cart is the Khmer Traditional Transportation that villagers used every day to transport materials from villages to the fields and return, but now villagers mostly use tractors. Ox-carts still used in some remote villages in Siem Reap. Merry Travel Asia cooperates with villagers to arrange an ox-cart ride for you to travel through the rice paddies and villages the way the local people do.

A half day trip to the rural village which is 10km away from Siem Reap—our guide and driver will pick you up from hotel in Siem Reap for a transfer to the rural village via scenic rice paddies. You’ll enjoy the ox-card ride for 20 minutes, stop at one of the Khmer traditional house to view the sunset over the rice paddies with cold drinks and seasonal snacks.
A full day tour to the village, you will have a fun ox-cart for 20 minutes in the village and then take a short walk to visit different families, interaction with local people then enjoying a traditional cooking class. After lunch, you’ll have a chance to help out the villagers with their daily farm work.
Giant Tonle Sap Lake is one of the biggest natural lakes in Asia, and it is the home of 1000 Cambodian families, who live on the floating villages.
