Hi Rith, so sorry I didn't write sooner. it has been a busy time since we got home. the trip was wonderful! I felt so bad about it not working out with San, but, you know, spending 12 hours a day with someone for 14 days is a very long time, so we just had to make the change. Nom was the perfect guide for us. I'm so glad you had him stay with us all the way up to our departure. Also, Paeak is a great driver, and a really good man too. heide and I felt well taken care of and safe with both of them, and we had fun kidding around with them. Nom was very good at sensing when to hang around and when to leave us alone. I was amazed but we managed to do almost everything on the itinerary. adding the stop in Kratie was genius! we got there with just enough time to take the boa tride on the mekong and see the dolphins. it was exciting and beautiful. the sunset was gorgeous. then on our drive back we met Nom's family at the house he grew up in, and where they still live. they had coconuts for us. it was very special. then the next day it took us just a few hours to get to Sen Monorom, and had most of the day to relax at the pool in the Mayura Hill Hotel. what a beautiful place that is. fyi: we also met Nom's modern family in siem reap. his wife and children are beautiful and a lot of fun. some of my favorite things were... the temples with all the stairs in Battambang, watching the bats fly out of their caves at sunset, the lovely Deluxe Villa hotel, the arts complex where our friends were rehearsing their show, all the temples around siem reap, especially Banteay Srei, Ta Prohm, Angkor Thom - the temple with all the buddha faces and the elephant terrace, the magnificent silk farm, heide and I taking tuk tuks and exploring siem reap at night on our own, the Elephan Valley Project! it was totally worth the long trip to spend the day with those elephants and learn about their lives, their owners, and the way the project works. very special. in phnom penh the genocide museum, as awful as it is, was very important to see. lunch at the FCC, the lunch you bought us at the restaurant on the last day...wins for best food of the trip...a very close second best lunch was at the coffee farm in mondulkiri. we had Ban Cheaow (I have no idea how to spell that). It was delicious!! then running around the markets in Phnom Penh, loading up on elephant pants and scarves and hammocks...who can ever have enough elephant pants? we also went to that street, I think it's called 240th st?? with the boutiques, and artisan shops. that was great too. It was perfect that we were able to drop and add, or move around the order of the places we were going to. the heat in cambodia is brutal, as you know. so for us "borangs" (another word I can't spell) it was good not to have to listen to long lectures at angkor wat, even though the information would have been interesting. thanks for arranging it all Tony. it couldn't have been better. best rhea

I and my friends from Israel of 6 people, we planned the cycling trip to Cambodia. Fortunately, we found Merry Travel Asia via internet and interested with their cycling tours but we could not find any set tour program that fit our schedule and places to visit, we sent an inquiry to them, then we got the reply from Sam who is the director of the company straight away. Sam asked me a few questions of what I want and places to visit, a day after he send me a tailor-made tour program that we wanted, 12 days around Cambodia. Sam was the guide for us as well because he love cycling, from A to Z Sam made this cycling trip excellent for us. His English is perfect, knowledge of the country is excellent, he cared of every small detail of the trip, his driver Mr. Veng was incredible, he fixed the bikes and clean our bikes every end of riding days, we loved the Khmer typical food very much, clean guesthouse, and amazing experience homestay in some remote villages. Cycling in Siem Reap through the jungle to visit the Angkor temples we love the most but of, course we loved and enjoyed all part of the tours. We strongly recommend Sam and Merry Travel Asia to who wish to do cycling tours in Cambodia and Southeast Asia.

Dear Voant, How darling of you to give us such a pretty pink clothes purse. I can’t wait to use it at my next wedding! I love the color and it’s just the right size to love everything I need. How the palm frond cover is also great for a purse. Thank you. Our time in Cambodia has been perfect! You did a great job of listening to what I wanted. Sam was a fabulous guide – so attentive, so full of surprises for us. He made a huge difference in our time. Tour was an excellent driver, and so much more. He often made suggestions which were excellent. We loved having bikes for almost daily rides. I find constant touring, climbing in and out of vans exhausting. Being able to ride a bike everyday made a huge difference. Sam learned that we hated being in the sun from 11 to 3. We biked early in the morning which was a great way to start the day. Tour often met us having out up fruit for a perfect breakfast. Our favorites were Rajabori or Koh Trong. I loved the wood paneling, tray ceilings and authentic in Battambang. Our favorite meals were in restaurants highly recommended by Trip Advisor. In Phnom Penh, they were Malis Restaurant and the Common Tiger. We went back to the Common Tiger on our return to Phnom Penh. We all liked Hot Crabs in Kep. Voant, it has been a pleasure working with everyone at Merry Travel. I will recommend it to everyone I know. More people need to spend more time in Cambodia. Angkor Wat is fantastic, but we have enjoyed so many other parts of your country. Thank you for planning with me a wonderful vacation. And how nice of you to give me a lovely gift as well. Best to you, Sherley, USA

Dear Sam, Thanks so much for reaching out about the trip! We traveled to a wedding on our way back from Vietnam so we are just getting home and back to work now. Thank you for helping us plan an unforgettable adventure! We loved every moment of our trip to both Cambodia and Vietnam - the sites were beautiful, the history fascinating, the hotels relaxing and the food delicious. In addition, our wonderful guides were all so knowledgeable, flexible and thoughtful - Khoem, Bara and Trong each helped us get special insight into the culture and history, and helped us navigate easily from day to day. We appreciated that Merry Travel had everything planned so we didn't have to think about or worry about anything on our trip - everything went according to plan and everything was on time. We are grateful for your expertise and planning! We had so much fun in each new city and we will absolutely recommend you to our friends and family - we hope some of them will be able to experience your hospitality soon! Best, Laura & Kevin USA

Dear Ladies and gentlemen, Often during organized tours, travelers returning home write to their agencies to claim on what did not correspond to their expectations. It is more fun to be able to write about what was really exceptionally good, when it is. And in Cambodia we have lived the most beautiful part of our journey. And this, thanks to two wonderful people: Our guide Rin Sovan Tithy and our driver, Theng Sambo. An exceptional duo; the availability, the friendly, the dedication and the good mood that these two people The testimonies have been exemplary. Our guide and now friend, Rithy is not only a very competent, very educated, well-educated, very intelligent guide. and keen of mind, listening to the needs and desires of its customers, but also flexible and always concerned about their well-being. Very committed to customer service, his mission ended with us for several days, he got himself Concerned about calling Laos, Luang Prabang to make sure that our arrival in this city was organized (it was not really the case). With our Sambo driver, the same friendly and warm relationship has been established. Every day we had an impeccable and clean car despite very pushes. The ice cream was full of refreshing drinks and towels that Sambo offered us graciously and regularly. The good deal and good humor that we enjoyed pleased us for the last 7 days with your two collaborators, that we left to regret. And if we were to return to Cambodia, we would not want to be alone as supporters. We will be glad to recommend them to anyone interested in visiting Cambodia. Thanks again to the Cambodia Agency for your good service and excellent staff who made our stay so interesting and enjoyable. Receive, Ladies and Gentlemen, our most sincere greetings.
