Leave the hustle and bustle of Phnom Penh behind as you head south to Tonle Bati. Tonle Bati is a place of worship and features two ancient temples, Ta Prohm and Yeay Peov, and a pagoda, Wat Tonle Bati, which was built in 1576. Then we continue to visit Phnom Chiso, this mountain temple was built in the early 11th century by King Suryavarman I (AD 1002-1050), who practiced Brahmanism Constructed of sandstone and other stones, it is 60 meters long and 50 meters wide and sits atop a mountain. The temple is surrounded by two galleries. The first gallery is 60 meters long on each side. The second, smaller gallery is in the middle, where there is the main worship place with two doors and a wooden statue. There are beautiful sculptures on the lintel and the pillars.
Drive to Ta Keo, embark on the speedboat, and ride to Angkor Borei where the first capital city of Cambodia was, and have an organic lunch from the local restaurants that are run by the villagers. Visit the Angkor Borie Museum before we head out to visit Phnom Da. Phnom Da temple was built on the top of a small hill in the 6th century by King Rutravarman, who reigned during the Norkor Phnom period

Kris M2023-03-09This is the way to experience Cambodia! Merry Travel/ Sam is an excellent tour guide and the tour is perfectly curated . You get to experience Cambodia authentically and at the ground level- the awesome ancient temples, the horrifying but important political history and the resilient, friendly people and their present day life/livelihoods. I cannot recommend Merry Travel and Sam enough! Our trip was a 10 out of 10!Trek7907062023-03-05Just the right level of support Sam seems to intuitively know when to explain and when to let us discover things for ourselves. The discovery of Angkor Wat--truly one of the great treasures of humanity--unfolded flawlessly in this way: unhurried, flowing, and awe-inspiring. Thanks to Sam and the Merry Travel team for an unforgettable experience!NETraveler2023-03-04Highly Recommend Merry Travel The tour guides at Merry Travel are very knowledgeable and fun to travel with. I have taken 5 groups of students and 2 groups of adults. In addition, I have recommended at least 3 other friends to work with him. If you want professionalism and fairness, Sam is the person for you. Merry Travel is an outstanding business and I cannot applaud it enough. We did 3 days of cycling in Angkor Wat, then went to Phnom Penh and then Kampot. Sam worked out all the transfers and we had excellent guides, including Sam himself. He knows what it takes to make the customer happy and he is very even-keeled in his approach.Kamal2023-02-11Fantastic Autoventure Experience Fantastic Autoventure holidays in Cambodia from the day we enter Cambodia (Poipet) till we depart for Vietnam via Bavet checkpoint.
