The tour starts and ends in Siem Reap.
Tonle Sap Lake is the biggest natural freshwater lake in Southeast Asia, take this 4-day adventure on a motorcycle to discover the 5 provinces surrounding this lake (Siem Reap – Kampong Thom – Kampong Chhnang – Pursat – Battambang – Siem Reap).
Day 1: Siem Reap – Kampong Thom
Day 2: Kampong Thom – Pursat
Day 3: Pursat – Battambang
Day 4: Battambang – Siem Reap

Day 1: Siem Reap – Kampong Thom

At 08.00 am, meet at our motorcycle shop, and get a briefing on safety and riding trail conditions. You also require to sign the released form and make the deposit of USD 500 per rider to guarantee the motorcycle damages.
Start to ride our motorcycle through the back road in the country for the first 70km, and stop to visit Naga Ancient Bridge built in the late 12th century in Kampong Kdei. Then continue to ride off-road to visit Sambor Prei Kuk Temples in Kampong Thom Province. Sambor Prei Kuk is a group of temples that is older than Angkor temples, which were built in the 6th century.
Ride further on the countryside road to our hotel in Krong Stueng of Kampong Thom Province. Check-in at the hotel and free at leisure, dinner is on your own account.

Day 2: Kampong Thom – Pursat

Breakfast at the hotel.
We start to ride our motorcycle through the small villages and very big rice paddies in the part of Tonle Sap Lake, take across the Tonle Sap River by a local ferry and stop for lunch in Kampong Chhnang City Center.
After lunch, we continue to ride along the red dirt good road closer to Cardamom Mountain and proceed to Pursat City. Check-in at the hotel upon arrival, free at leisure. Dinner is on your own, for sure, our guide will recommend a good restaurant for you.

Day 3: Pursat – Battambang

Breakfast at the hotel.
We enjoy our motorcycle ride through the jungle trails to Cardamom Moutain and further to stop for lunch in Samlout which was the biggest Khmer Rouge base in western Cambodia, near to Thailand border. And then continue to ride to Battambang, stopping to visit the Phnom Sampeav mountain before reaching to the city center.
Check-in at the hotel upon arrival, free at leisure. Dinner is on your own

Day 4: Battambang – Siem Reap

Breakfast at the hotel.
Enjoy the easy and slow riding along the Stueng Sanke River through the villages and rice paddies to Tonle Sap Lake, then we take the boat ride with our motorcycle to cross through the river to Phum Bakprea, and Phum Treak Villages. After 2 hours of boat riding, we disembark the boat and start riding our motorcycle again off-road to Sasarsdam, and stopped for lunch at a local restaurant that is famous for roasted chicken in West Baray before reaching Siem Reap.

  This is the way to experience Cambodia!
Merry Travel/ Sam is an excellent tour guide and the tour is perfectly curated . You get to experience Cambodia authentically and at the ground level- the awesome ancient temples, the horrifying but important  political history and the resilient, friendly people and their present day life/livelihoods. The tour guides at Merry Travel are very knowledgeable and fun to travel with. We saw many interesting things on our trip and loved the bike rides through back roads and paths.   Biking Cambodia
This is the 7th time I have done a tour with Sam. I have taken 5 groups of students and 2 groups of adults.  In addition, I have recommended at least 3 other friends to work with him.  If you want professionalism and fairness, Sam is the person for you.  Merry Travel is an outstanding business and I cannot applaud it enough.  We did 3 days of cycling in Angkor Wat, then went to Phnom Penh and then Kampot.  Sam worked out all the transfers and we had excellent guides, including Sam himself. Best bike tour ever. Big thanks to my tour guide Chea.Jungle was an adventure due to Covid and regrowth as no traffic has been through there for a while. Just returned from twelve days driving around Cambodia with Merry Travel Asia . We stayed in Siem Reap , Kratie, Phnom Penh and Battambang . What a great experience , the dolphins in Kratie and the Wats of Angkor were special highlights , topped off with a (totally organic) dinner on a local farm in the country side outside Siem Reap with Sam and friends.Thanks to Sam and his team all went smoothly and according to plan with good accommodation and friendly service throughout the trip.Lots of wonderful memories.Hope to see you again soon Sam.
