Day 1: Phnom Penh Arrival

Welcome to Phnom Penh, the Capital City. Phnom Penh is the capital and most populous city in Cambodia. Phnom Penh has been the national capital since the French colonization of Cambodia and has grown to become the nation’s economic, industrial, and cultural center.

Upon arrival inside the arrival terminal of Phnom Penh International Airport, look for our tour guide at the arrival counter holding a signboard with your name on it. You will then be transferred to your hotel for check-in (early check-in is not included and depends on the hotel’s availability). Enjoy free time at your leisure. In the late afternoon, your guide will take you to enjoy a welcome dinner, introducing you to the delicious flavors of Cambodia.

Day 2: Phnom Penh

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then begin your day with a visit to the Independence Monument, a symbol of Cambodia’s independence, followed by the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a former Khmer Rouge prison. Next, explore the Central Market before having a delicious local lunch. In the afternoon, visit the National Museum’s extensive collection of Angkorian artifacts and the stunning Royal Palace, showcasing Khmer architecture. Later, unwind at your hotel before a sunset boat ride along the Mekong River. In the evening, take a remorque (tuk-tuk) tour around Phnom Penh, stopping at the night market to enjoy Cambodian snacks and drinks. Day 3: Phnom Penh – Kampong Cham – Hanchey

After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll be transferred about an hour out of Phnom Penh to a designated bike starting point to avoid city traffic. Upon arrival, your guide will brief you on safety and bike fitting. Then, you’ll ride our bikes along the Mekong River, crossing to Koh Pen, one of Cambodia’s largest Mekong islands, home to over 1,000 families and vibrant daily life. After exploring, enjoy lunch in Kampong Cham city. In the afternoon, visit Hanchey Pagoda before heading to Hanchey Bamboo Resort for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Hanchey – Kratie

After approximately 40 km of cycling, arrive in Kampi, home to over 30 Irrawaddy Dolphins. Day 11: Preah Vihear City – Koh Ker Temples – Sraem

After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll be transferred about 30 minutes outside the city center to your cycling starting point. From there, begin riding through remote villages, stopping to visit local pagodas, schools, and observing villagers’ daily activities. Throughout the day, enjoy snacks and drink breaks to stay energized. Arrive at Koh Ker, an ancient Angkorian temple complex built in the 10th century during the reign of King Jayavarman IV. Known for its impressive pyramid-shaped temple, Prasat Thom, which stands about 35 meters tall, Koh Ker was once the capital of the Khmer empire and features a unique layout with numerous small temples, statues, and ancient relics spread across a jungle-covered site. After breakfast, today is the most challenging biking day. You will start with a 25 km easy ride on flat, paved roads from the hotel to the base of Phnom Dangrek. Then, face a tough 5.5 km climb up the hill to Preah Vihear Temple, with an elevation gain of +437 meters and a descent of -7 meters. Along the way, feel free to pause for photo stops and rest. Upon reaching the top, explore Preah Vihear Temple, an extraordinary UNESCO World Heritage Site perched on a 525-meter-high hilltop. Built between the 9th and 12th centuries, this Hindu sanctuary offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape and showcases remarkable Khmer architecture amid a lush jungle setting. It’s famous for its intricate carvings, terraces, and the breathtaking natural scenery that surrounds it. After visiting the temple and enjoying a scenic lunch, ride back down the hill and transfer by bus to Bong Thom Homestay in Banteay Srei District of Siem Reap, where you can relax and unwind.

After exploring, cycle back to Bong Thom Homestay for breakfast and relax until 12:00, when you check out and have lunch. In the afternoon, transfer about 45 minutes to Phnom Kulen Mountain, regarded as a sacred site and often called the “River of a Thousand Lingas” due to the thousands of intricate carvings in the riverbed. Cycling through Angkor Thom, you’ll visit the Bayon Temple, famous for its massive stone faces that adorn its towers and its richly decorated corridors depicting ancient Khmer history. Continue your adventure by cycling to East Mebon, a majestic island temple built during the reign of Jayavarman VI with pyramidal towers. Upon arrival, embark on a boat tour to Mechrey Floating Village, a charming and authentic community with over 100 families, floating schools, and shops. Next, enjoy over an hour of kayaking through mangrove forests to open water, immersing yourself in the tranquil natural surroundings. After kayaking, transfer by boat to Prek Toal Floating Village, one of the largest on Tonle Sap Lake. Day 18: Prek Toal – Battambang

You’ll head out to the fishing areas where you can try various techniques such as line fishing and net casting, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the sea and lush coastal scenery. The waters are rich with different fish species like snapper, grouper, and squid, offering an exciting and rewarding experience. Our team will cook your fresh catch for lunch, serving grilled fish alongside your picnic. Enjoy your meal with cool drinks while soaking in the peaceful ocean views. In the late afternoon, you’ll return to the resort to relax. Afterwards, the guide will walk you through the lively fishing village in Koh Sdach, where you can learn about local fishing methods, traditions, and the daily life of villagers. The day concludes with dinner at a local restaurant, giving you a taste of authentic coastal cuisine.

Day 24: Koh Sdach – Sihanoukville – Koh Rong

After breakfast, return to the pier by boat, then resume your bike ride towards Dara Sakor Beaches. Along the route, you’ll have the opportunity to pass near the new airport before completing the 25 km ride, at which point you’ll have a moment to say goodbye to our biking team. From this point onward, the rest of the trip will be accompanied only by an English-speaking guide. Following the ride, enjoy a support vehicle transfer with a stop for lunch en route to Sihanoukville. After lunch, board a speedboat for approximately 45 minutes to Mafiya Resort on Koh Rong, one of Cambodia’s most stunning islands. Koh Rong is renowned for its pristine white-sand beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, vibrant coral reefs, and lush tropical jungles, making it a perfect paradise for relaxation and snorkeling. Upon arrival, check in and unwind with dinner at the resort, immersing yourself in the tranquil island atmosphere.

These activities can be arranged on the spot with our tour guide, but please note that all payments will be made directly by you.

Day 27: Koh Rong – Phnom Penh – Departure

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then prepare for check-out in the morning. You will take a speedboat from Koh Rong to Sihanoukville, a ride of approximately 45 minutes, where you will meet the driver for the transfer to Phnom Penh Airport. The journey from Sihanoukville to the airport involves about 3 hours by bus, so please allow an additional 2-3 hours at the airport before your flight.
