Day 1: Phnom Penh Arrival

Upon arrival, meet your local guide and transfer to the hotel in Phnom Penh. The drive is approximately 55 km and takes about an hour. Check in at the hotel (subject to room availability, as check-in time is from 14:00) – Free at leisure

Day 2: Phnom Penh – Vatanac Gof

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred by private car to Vattanac Golf Course, located in Phnom Penh. The course is renowned for its beautiful landscapes, challenging design, and first-class facilities, making it one of the premier golf destinations in Cambodia. The drive takes approximately an hour. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed at the clubhouse and enjoy an 18-hole round of golf. After your game, you will be transferred back to the hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3: Phnom Penh City Tour

After breakfast at the hotel, our guide and driver will pick you up for a city tour. The tour begins with a visit to Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a sobering historical site that was once a high school turned prison during the Khmer Rouge regime, offering insightful exhibits on Cambodia’s tragic history. Next, you’ll visit the Central Market, an iconic market housed in a stunning Art Deco building where you can browse for local crafts, souvenirs, and fresh produce. Then, there is Wat Phnom, a historic hilltop temple dating back to the 14th century, offering panoramic views of Phnom Penh. Afterward, you’ll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will explore the National Museum, home to an impressive collection of Khmer art and artifacts, and the Royal Palace, the royal residence and a symbol of Cambodia’s regal heritage. After the tour, we will return to the hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 4: Phnom Penh – Chhun On Golf Resort

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred by private car to Chhun On Golf Resort – Lakes Course in Phnom Penh. Known for its stunning lakeside views, scenic landscapes, and challenging layout, this course is one of the top golfing destinations in Cambodia. The drive takes approximately an hour. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed at the clubhouse and enjoy an 18-hole round of golf. After your game, you will be transferred back to the hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure.

Breakfast at the hotel, and you will be transferred to Phnom Penh Airport for a short flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, meet your local guide and transfer to the hotel in Siem Reap. The drive is approximately 55 km and takes about an hour. Check in at the hotel (subject to room availability, as check-in time is from 14:00) – Free at leisure

Day 6: Angkor Golf Resort

Your guide and driver will then transfer you approximately 7 km from the city center to Angkor Golf Resort, a premier golf course renowned for its lush fairways and scenic surroundings. Enjoy an 18-hole round of golf in this beautifully designed championship course, with lunch on your own at the clubhouse. After the game, you will be transferred back to the hotel, free at leisure.

Day 7: Angkor Temples

Breakfast at the hotel.

Today, we embark on an excursion to explore the main temples of Angkor. We will start early with visits to Ta Prohm, famous for its intertwined roots and cinematic appearance, followed by the awe-inspiring Angkor Wat, renowned for its intricate architecture and grandeur. After these visits, you’ll enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant. In the afternoon, we continue to Angkor Thom city, exploring key sites including the South Gate, Bayon Temple with its enigmatic smiling faces, Baphuon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, and the Terrace of the Elephants. After a full day of exploration, we return to the hotel for relaxation.

Day 8: Phokeethra Country Club Golf Course

Your guide and driver will then transfer you approximately 25 km from Siem Reap city center to Phokeethra Country Club, a renowned golf course set amidst beautiful surroundings. Enjoy an 18-hole round of golf, with lunch on your own at the clubhouse. After the game, we’ll return to the hotel for relaxation.

Day 9: Siem Reap – Departure

We have used Merry Travel for two trips now in Cambodia and will use them again for future travel to Southeast Asia. Staff is exceptional. The lovely Sreylin was endlessly patient with my MANY itinerary changes.  Verified Surreal 14-day group bicycle tour of backroads Cambodia - Siem Reap to Phnom Penh
Our charity group of 18 over 14 days were led by Zil and his experienced team from the Siem Reap tour company - Merry Travel - beginning at the Siem Reap temples then northeast to the mighty Mekong River, then following the Mekong southward towards Phnom Penh - our cycle paths meandered through the authentic Cambodian countryside which tourists will never see - truly surreal and the best way to learn about the Cambodian history, people, food and their culture. Merry Travel team followed us with exemplary support - highly recommend this tour company based in Siem Reap for your Cambodian travel adventure. The bicycles were fantastic also.  Verified Amazing self-guided bike tour in Cambodia!
Just completed an amazing self-guided bespoke ebike tour with Merry Travel/Cambodia bikes. We are both 60 plus regular cyclists who normally travel ourselves, however with little planning time and this being our first visit to the region sought local guidance. So glad we did. The planning, which was initially done through Mr Biker Saigon, as we were doing similar tours in Vietnam, was seamless and provided for a more interesting tour than had we planned it ourselves. We provided a rough 'request list' and timings and they proposed routes incorporating several additional activities including trekking, kayaking and dolphin watching. Routes were provided on Bike with GPS and also a list of accommodation. All of which were in interesting places and local commmunity orientated, which we liked. The routes, which were generally on quiet and always interesting side roads and often gravel tracks - took us through amazing countryside, small villages and finally on a beautiful journey following the Mekong into Phnom Penh. We also had a vehicle which loosely followed us and our driver Makara - himself a cyclist - supported us with everything from transfers, bike maintenance when needed and interpretation. He also found us some nice coffee and food stops!! Overall a fantastic adventure. We loved the space and adventure afforded by self-guiding, but with the excellent backup support provided by Sam at Merry Travel and Makara throughout the journey. Thank-you!

we had a wonderful trip with Cambodia cycling tour ; Southern Vietnam and then to Siem Reap . Sam did a great job planning this trip; it was a perfect balance of biking and cultural experiences and lots of fun . Our guides and crew in both countries were amazing ; knowledgeable and always helpful and went beyond our expectations to create and unforgeratble experience . Everyone was so welcoming and cant say enough about the food !! We really appreciated eating in local places . The hotels were nicer then we usually stay and the pools were amazing Thanks to Merry travel and Cambodia cycling for the trip of a lifetime !!!

A group of friends spent 10 days with Merry travel cycling in Vietnam and Cambodia. It was the best trip I have ever had. We cycled thru neighborhoods in the Mekong delta. We did a tailor made cycle tour with Merry Travel. From our communication with Sam, through to the actual tour with Zil and 'T', everything was brilliant. Sam listened to what we wanted to do, the sport of places we wanted to stay and organised everything from beginning to end. We didn't want to use tourist style chain hotels, and Sam found wonderful smaller locally run hotels. Perfect for us. Zil, our cycle guide and 'T', our driver couldn't have been better. All the places we stopped for lunch and snacks were just great. Just when we thought we couldn't cycle any further, 'T' appeared out of nowhere with fresh fruit, cold water and cold towels. Absolutely fabulous.
