Day 1: Siem Reap – Phnom Srok – Banteay Chhmar

Our guide and driver will pick you up from your Siem Reap hotel in the morning and drive to Phnom Srok Village, one of the oldest villages along the ancient highway from Angkor to Phimai. Here, you can see local families weaving, rice farming, fishing, and explore traditional stilt Khmer houses and local animals. Next, continue to Svay town for lunch, with a stop at Phnom Preah to see its stone carving village. In the late afternoon, arrive at Banteay Chhmar, a large and remote temple complex built in the late 12th century during King Jayavarman VII’s reign. It is renowned for its intricate bas-reliefs depicting mythological scenes and historical events. You’ll be welcomed by your host family, enjoy refreshments, and walk around the temple while watching the sunset over the rice paddies.

Day 2: Banteay Chhmar – Angkor Silk Farm – Siem Reap

After breakfast at a local house, enjoy a short drive to Trapeang Rohal Trach Lake. Embark on a local boat to admire the scenic views of this beautiful lake. Then, continue your journey with a drive back to Siem Reap, stopping for lunch at a farmhouse along the way. Afterwards, visit the Angkor Silk Farm, where you can learn about the traditional process of silk production, from silkworms to weaving beautiful fabrics. The trip concludes around 4 pm upon your arrival in Siem Reap.
