Start early today for the nearly 3-hour drive to Ta Keo where the first capital city of Cambodia was in the 1st century. Leave the hustle and bustle of Phnom Penh behind as you head south to Tonle Bati. Tonle Bati is a place of worship and features two ancient temples, Ta Prohm and Yeay Peov, and a pagoda, Wat Tonle Bati, which was built in 1576. Then we continue to visit Phnom Chiso, this mountain temple was built in the early 11th century by King Suryavarman I (AD 1002-1050), who practiced Brahmanism Constructed of sandstone and other stones, it is 60 meters long and 50 meters wide and sits atop a mountain. The temple is surrounded by two galleries. The first gallery is 60 meters long on each side. The second, smaller gallery is in the middle, where there is the main worship place with two doors and a wooden statue. There are beautiful sculptures on the lintel and the pillars.
Drive to Ta Keo, embark on the speedboat, and ride to Angkor Borei where the first capital city of Cambodia was, and have an organic lunch from the local restaurants that are run by the villagers. Visit the Angkor Borie Museum before we head out to visit Phnom Da. Phnom Da temple was built on the top of a small hill in the 6th century by King Rutravarman, who reigned during the Norkor Phnom period
Ride the boat back to Ta Kep and drive to Kep where located on the southeast coast of Cambodia, on the way we will stop to visit Kampong Trach Cave. Dinner at the local restaurant and overnight at a hotel in Kep
Included for the day:
Transport: Private vehicle and driving guide (English)
Meals: Lunch, dinner

Early morning our guide will walk you to visit the Crab Market, it is a small market where the fishermen bring their crab and fish to sell or hand over to the retailers. The guide will take you through the market to get you to taste different Cambodian snacks, desserts, fruits, and breakfast at a local restaurant in the market.
Return to the hotel for check-out and we ride the boat to visit Rabbit Island (Koh Tonsay). Koh Tonsay is located about 4.5 kilometers southeast of Kep. Tourists are drawn to the two beautiful white sand beaches. The sea here is shallow and has a long slope, making Tonsay excellent for swimming. At the sea bottom are a variety of corals, sea animals, and plants that attract researchers and ecologists. We get relaxation on the beach, and our guide will prepare great picnic seafood for you with nice and cold drinks.
After lunch, we ride the boat back to the mainland and drive to Kampong, en route we visit the ancient cave called Phnom Chhngok Cave. Phnom Chhngok is a small mountain featuring a Buddhist temple on one side and on its western side a cave featuring an ancient temple dating to the 5th century Funan Era. And also visit the pepper plantation, salt field, and Kampot City before getting back to our hotel in Kep.

On the top of the mountain, we will visit the Povokvil Waterfalls and the Black Palace, which was the former summer palace of King Sihanouk. The national park is also home to a 29-meter-high statue of Lok Yeay Mao, a mythical heroine from Cambodian Buddhism who protects travelers. There’s also a Catholic church that dates back to French colonialists in the 1920s, which is an unusual sight in Cambodia and particularly in the middle of a mountain range.
Drive downhill back to Kampot for lunch, and then proceed to Sihanouk Ville. On arrival, check-in at the hotel and free at leisure. Late afternoon, our driving guide will drive you around the city of Sihanouk Ville and have dinner at one of the local restaurants.

Posted on Linda WVerified Small agency with a personal touch We have used Merry Travel for two trips now in Cambodia and will use them again for future travel to Southeast Asia. Staff is exceptional. The lovely Sreylin was endlessly patient with my MANY itinerary changes. We spent 8 days here in Cambodia in May and decided to return this January / February for a 45 day trip throughout the country ending with a long stay in Siem Reap. The hotels were exceptional - often held we would never have found on our own. The tours were all incredible and the transport top notch. We have used the always-smiling Vuthy often to guide us with excellent temple vista it’s. Highly recommend this small agency. Cambodia is an amazing land to see by bike!!! Thank you for the good carePosted on MB100BxllsVerified Amazing self-guided bike tour in Cambodia! Just completed an amazing self-guided bespoke ebike tour with Merry Travel/Cambodia bikes. We are both 60 plus regular cyclists who normally travel ourselves, however with little planning time and this being our first visit to the region sought local guidance. So glad we did. The planning, which was initially done through Mr Biker Saigon, as we were doing similar tours in Vietnam, was seamless and provided for a more interesting tour than had we planned it ourselves. We provided a rough 'request list' and timings and they proposed routes incorporating several additional activities including trekking, kayaking and dolphin watching. Routes were provided on Bike with GPS and also a list of accommodation. All of which were in interesting places and local commmunity orientated, which we liked. The routes, which were generally on quiet and always interesting side roads and often gravel tracks - took us through amazing countryside, small villages and finally on a beautiful journey following the Mekong into Phnom Penh. We also had a vehicle which loosely followed us and our driver Makara - himself a cyclist - supported us with everything from transfers, bike maintenance when needed and interpretation. He also found us some nice coffee and food stops!! Overall a fantastic adventure. We loved the space and adventure afforded by self-guiding, but with the excellent backup support provided by Sam at Merry Travel and Makara throughout the journey. Thank-you!Posted on Joanne GVerified Best bike trip ever in Vietnam and Cambodia !!! we had a wonderful trip with Cambodia cycling tour ; Southern Vietnam and then to Siem Reap . A group of friends spent 10 days with Merry travel cycling in Vietnam and Cambodia. It was the best trip I have ever had. We cycled thru neighborhoods in the Mekong delta. Our guide expertly provided insight and info. He was a perfect cycling guide adding a rich cultural experience as well as great biking.Posted on TrevVerified 5 stars out of 5. Everything was perfect. We did a tailor made cycle tour with Merry Travel. From our communication with Sam, through to the actual tour with Zil and 'T', everything was brilliant. Sam listened to what we wanted to do, the sport of places we wanted to stay and organised everything from beginning to end. We didn't want to use tourist style chain hotels, and Sam found wonderful smaller locally run hotels. Perfect for us. Zil, our cycle guide and 'T', our driver couldn't have been better. All the places we stopped for lunch and snacks were just great. Just when we thought we couldn't cycle any further, 'T' appeared out of nowhere with fresh fruit, cold water and cold towels. Absolutely fabulous.
