Start with a short transfer to Sáng a local market located 25km south of Phnom Penh. Start cycling from the busy market and observe the bustling trade that is part of daily life. Continue cycling over dikes, through beautiful countryside (via Svay Kham, Wat Cha, and Prey Kambass), passing pagodas and traditional houses. Get a few stoppings on the way for visiting the local families and snack breaks. Lunch at the local restaurant upon arrival at Angkor Borei, then we visit the Angkor Borei Museum, and Prasat Phnom Da temple. Located atop the mountain, Prasat Phnom Da is one of the most significant temples in the region. It is an ancient temple dating to the Funan era of the 1st to 6th century. I believe it is also the largest temple of this type. It stands alone atop the mountain and can easily be seen from afar if it was not shielded by trees.
