Day 1: Phnom Penh – Sambo Prei Kuk – Preah Khan Kampong Svay Tours

Our guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Phnom Penh and then drive to explore the magnificent ancient ruins of Sambor Prei Kuk in Kampong Thom Province. Recognized as one of Cambodia’s most important archaeological sites, Sambor Prei Kuk features well-preserved pre-Angkorian temples surrounded by lush forests, reflecting early Khmer architecture and spirituality. Along the way, we’ll stop at the Spider Market in Skoun, known for its unique local produce and crafts.

Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in Sambor Prei Kuk. Afterward, visit Preah Khan Kampong Svay, a sprawling temple complex built in the 12th century that stands on a volcanic mountain, offering breathtaking views and a glimpse into Cambodia’s ancient history. This site is less crowded and filled with mysterious ruins, showcasing intricate carvings and impressive stone structures.

After exploring these remarkable sites, we’ll head to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Preah Vihear City, immersing you in Cambodia’s rich cultural heritage and rural charm.

Continuing our adventure, we’ll visit Beng Mealea, a stunning jungle temple that offers an adventurous glimpse into Cambodia’s lost civilization. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before heading to Siem Reap. The tour concludes in Siem Reap around 3:30 PM, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Cambodia’s ancient wonders.
