At 8:00 AM, we’ll meet at our motorcycle shop for a safety briefing and to sign a release form, along with a deposit of USD 500 per rider for motorcycle damages. Afterward, we’ll leave the city and head west toward the Thailand border, choosing between tarmac, dirt roads, and trails as we ride past tranquil lakes and rivers. We’ll pause for lunch by a large reservoir and then continue on to the charming French colonial town of Battambang. Adventurous riders will have the chance to try grilled rats at a roadside BBQ—reportedly tasting just like chicken! Upon arrival, we’ll check in and you’ll have free time to relax; dinner will be on your own account, with our guide recommending one of the best local restaurants in town.
Included for the day:
Motorcycle: 200km

After a short cruise out of Battambang, we’ll arrive at Phnom Sampov: a small mountain that was the main stage of the Khmer Rouge’s major atrocities. We’ll visit the gruesome killing caves and see the guns that the Vietnamese were able to use to stave off the Khmer Rouge after they’d taken hold of the mountain. We have some great riding options for the day ahead of us: ride the trails of ‘Sticky Land’, an area that has rightfully earned that name because of the mud on the ground during the wet season, tackle some difficult, rocky terrain or stick to a winding dirt road that passes over some 50 small bridges. Check-in at the resort upon arrival at the Top Hill of Veal Veng, dinner is on your own (our guide will recommend a place where to eat good food).
Included for the day:
Motorcycle: 180km
Tour guide: English-speaking guide
Meals: Breakfast, lunch
Accommodation: Hidden Left Resort (Superior) or a similar standard hotel
In the morning, we’ll embark on a thrilling dirt road that winds through steep hills, offering breathtaking views of the landscape below. Riders can choose between technically challenging routes through dense jungle or stick to Chinese-built mountainous roads, stopping to visit a couple of impressive waterfalls along the way. Our destination for the night is Koh Kong, a charming riverside town near the Thailand border. Upon arrival at the hotel, we’ll check in, and later in the afternoon, our guide will arrange a tuk-tuk ride to the Peam Kralaop Wild Sanctuary, where you’ll enjoy a boat ride through the largest mangrove forest in Southeast Asia before returning to the hotel. Dinner will be at your leisure, with our guide recommending one of the best restaurants in town for a delightful dining experience.
Included for the day:
Motorcycle: 150km
Tour guide: English-speaking guide
Meals: Breakfast, lunch
Accommodation: Apex Koh Kong Hotel or a similar standard hotel
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before we take a tuk-tuk ride to the boat pier, where we’ll board a private boat for a scenic journey to Koh Kong Krao, a picturesque island off the coast of Koh Kong Province known for its pristine beaches and tranquil environment. The ride will last just over an hour, and onboard, your guide has arranged snacks and drinks, so you can relax and enjoy the experience. Upon arrival at Koh Kong Krao Beach, you’ll have the chance to swim, sunbathe, and even try your hand at fishing. A picnic lunch with cold drinks will be set up for you on the beach. In the late afternoon, we’ll return to our hotel in the city, where you’ll have free time to unwind and explore at your leisure.

Today’s adventure can be customized to suit your preference—choose between an easy or a challenging ride! The harder option offers a thrilling journey up steep, rocky hills, navigating bridges, river crossings, and exhilarating single-track trails. If you prefer a more relaxed experience, the easier route takes you along smoother roads winding through the mountains, with a stop at the breathtaking Tatai Waterfall along the way. After enjoying lunch upon arrival at the Chi Phat community center, we’ll continue our ride to an overnight campsite in Srae Ambel, where you can unwind and soak in the beauty of the surroundings.

Accommodation: Phum Teuk Srae Campsite (Adventure Tent)
After breakfast, we’ll embark on an exciting ride along the red dirt roads to Khnang Phsar, one of the most beautiful mountain hills in Cambodia. Expect a bit of a challenge today as the roads can be more demanding. Once at the top, take some time to relax and soak in the stunning views before riding down the hill to enjoy lunch in Tang Bompong Village. After lunch, we’ll continue our journey to visit Te Teouk Poss before settling in for the night at a guesthouse in the Aoral district of Kampong Province.

Posted on TDKVerified Surreal 14-day group bicycle tour of backroads Cambodia - Siem Reap to Phnom Penh Our charity group of 18 over 14 days were led by Zil and his experienced team from the Siem Reap tour company - Merry Travel - beginning at the Siem Reap temples then northeast to the mighty Mekong River, then following the Mekong southward towards Phnom Penh - our cycle paths meandered through the authentic Cambodian countryside which tourists will never see - truly surreal and the best way to learn about the Cambodian history, people, food and their culture. Merry Travel team followed us with exemplary support - highly recommend this tour company based in Siem Reap for your Cambodian travel adventure. The bicycles were fantastic also. Thanks to Merry Travel and Mr Biker Saigon cycle tour teams.Posted on Curiosity46430862428Verified Championship Bike trip in Bangkok Chiang Mai, it was an amazing trip professional and reliable company, the staff was very professional and did everything to make it a perfect trip, I would like to thank Sam the owner of the company I have no doubt we will meet again. thank youPosted on CharlotteVerified RECOMMEND Professional, flexible and good organization. Cambodia is an amazing land to see by bike!!!Thank you for the good carePosted on MB100BxllsVerified Amazing self-guided bike tour in Cambodia! Just completed an amazing self-guided bespoke ebike tour with Merry Travel/Cambodia bikes. We are both 60 plus regular cyclists who normally travel ourselves, however with little planning time and this being our first visit to the region sought local guidance. So glad we did. The planning, which was initially done through Mr Biker Saigon, as we were doing similar tours in Vietnam, was seamless and provided for a more interesting tour than had we planned it ourselves. We provided a rough 'request list' and timings and they proposed routes incorporating several additional activities including trekking, kayaking and dolphin watching. Routes were provided on Bike with GPS and also a list of accommodation. All of which were in interesting places and local commmunity orientated, which we liked. The routes, which were generally on quiet and always interesting side roads and often gravel tracks - took us through amazing countryside, small villages and finally on a beautiful journey following the Mekong into Phnom Penh. We also had a vehicle which loosely followed us and our driver Makara - himself a cyclist - supported us with everything from transfers, bike maintenance when needed and interpretation. He also found us some nice coffee and food stops!! Overall a fantastic adventure. We loved the space and adventure afforded by self-guiding, but with the excellent backup support provided by Sam at Merry Travel and Makara throughout the journey. Thank-you!Posted on Joanne GVerified Best bike trip ever in Vietnam and Cambodia !!! we had a wonderful trip with Cambodia cycling tour ; Southern Vietnam and then to Siem Reap . Sam did a great job planning this trip; it was a perfect balance of biking and cultural experiences and lots of fun . Our guides and crew in both countries were amazing ; knowledgeable and always helpful and went beyond our expectations to create and unforgeratble experience . Everyone was so welcoming and cant say enough about the food !! We really appreciated eating in local places . The hotels were nicer then we usually stay and the pools were amazing Thanks to Merry travel and Cambodia cycling for the trip of a lifetime !!!Posted on Vicki MVerified Amazing experience. A group of friends spent 10 days with Merry travel cycling in Vietnam and Cambodia. It was the best trip I have ever had. We cycled thru neighborhoods in the Mekong delta. Our guide expertly provided insight and info. He was a perfect cycling guide adding a rich cultural experience as well as great biking.Posted on TrevVerified 5 stars out of 5. Everything was perfect. We did a tailor made cycle tour with Merry Travel. From our communication with Sam, through to the actual tour with Zil and 'T', everything was brilliant. Sam listened to what we wanted to do, the sport of places we wanted to stay and organised everything from beginning to end. We didn't want to use tourist style chain hotels, and Sam found wonderful smaller locally run hotels. Perfect for us. Zil, our cycle guide and 'T', our driver couldn't have been better. All the places we stopped for lunch and snacks were just great. Just when we thought we couldn't cycle any further, 'T' appeared out of nowhere with fresh fruit, cold water and cold towels. Absolutely fabulous.Posted on nickyelliott09Verified Excellent cycling trip Thank you to Merry Travel for quickly putting together a cycling day tour of the countryside around Siem Reap for our family. Sam, Zil and Wah were fantastic. We felt safe at all times and the bicycles were excellent quality. We were able to sample local food, try basket weaving, enjoy the scenery and finished with delicious lunch prepared especially for our group.Posted on Jim YVerified An Incredible Experience! Working with Merry Travel is a must if you are traveling to Cambodia! The team, led by Sam, is filled with incredibly talented, kind, and passionate tour guides. They always looked out for our group, and safety was their top priority. They shared their great knowledge of Cambodia and Southeast Asia, answering any questions we had. They also made our time together extremely fun and an experience we will never forget. We are so grateful for this experience, and I could not recommend Merry Travel more!Posted on William EVerified Great time! Everyone working at Merry Travel was so inviting, excited to talk to us and really nice. On top of that, they were great at showing us around and teaching us all the interesting things but none of the boring things. I had a great time, learned a lot and made some great connections!
