Day 1: Siem Reap – Banteay Srei – Kbal Spean – Phnom Kulen

In the morning, our guide and driver will pick you up from your Siem Reap hotel and drive approximately 60 km to Kbal Spean, known as the “River of a Thousand Lingas.” This lush hillside features intricate carvings and waterfalls carved into the riverbed, renowned for its spiritual significance and natural beauty. Enjoy a scenic hike to explore the carvings, waterfalls, and spectacular views. Afterwards, visit Banteay Srei Temple, famed for its exquisite pink sandstone carvings, before enjoying lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, head to the trekking starting point at Phnom Kulen, known as the “Holy Mountain,” which holds deep cultural and religious importance. Begin a 4 km (about 2 hours) trek up the mountain, stopping along the way to visit Wat Preah Ang Chop and learn about its sacred trees. Continue to see the ancient 1000 Lingas carved into the riverbed—a remarkable 11th-century masterpiece—and the Reclining Buddha carved on the original rock. Enjoy swimming at the waterfall, known for its cool, clear waters, before continuing another 2 km trek to set up your camp at the riverside. This outdoor adventure offers a blend of natural beauty, historical sites, and spiritual significance, creating a truly memorable experience.

Day 2: Phnom Kulen – Beng Mealea – Siem Reap

After breakfast at the campsite, continue trekking through the Phnom Kulen Mountain Range, passing lush jungle, farmland, and ancient sites. Once the Khmer Empire’s capital in the early 9th century, the mountain area features highlights like Wat Preah Kral, Bad Cave, Srah Damrey, and Peung Tbal. Enjoy lunch in Anlong Thom Village before driving to explore Beng Mealea temple, renowned for its sprawling, jungle-covered ruins and mysterious beauty.
